Creating and Adding Background in the Viewport

If you want to customize the 3D object with the background image so that you will get results from the combination of the two in sync, you have to insert the background image into your 3ds Max viewport. Features that you will use is a feature of the Viewport Background. This feature can also be used when you want to do Rotoscoping or "plagiarized" a form of drawing. For example, you insert a logo design as a background image in viewport for later traced into 3D shapes.



Here's a guide:
1 Open the file 3DS Max. Activate the Perspective viewport

2 Click the Views> Viewport Background.

3 In the Viewport Background window, you click the Files button and locate the image file which you want to set as the background. Adjust the settings of the other parameters as shown below

3 Now the picture has been featured on your Perspective Viewport background.
